He slams you against the door

You and Dazai had been together for a few years now, and you thought you knew him inside and out. But tonight, he showed you a side of himself that you had never seen before.

You were arguing about something - you couldn't even remember what it was now - and Dazai was getting more and more worked up. He was yelling and pacing back and forth, and you were starting to get scared.

"Calm down," you said, trying to keep your voice steady. "There's no need to get so angry."

But Dazai didn't calm down. He just kept yelling and getting angrier. Finally, he stopped pacing and stormed over to you.

"I'm sick of this!" he shouted. "I'm sick of you always telling me what to do!"

He grabbed your arms and slammed you into the door. You gasped in pain as your head hit the wood.

"Dazai!" you cried. "What are you doing?"

He didn't say anything. He just stared at you with his cold, dark eyes.

"Let me go," you said, trying to pull away.

But he didn't let go. He just held you there, his grip like iron.

"You don't understand," he said. "I can't live like this anymore."

"What do you mean?" you asked.

"I mean I'm tired of being the good guy," he said. "I'm tired of always being the one who has to make the sacrifices. I'm tired of always being the one who gets hurt."

He let go of your arms and stepped back. You stumbled to the ground, your head still throbbing.

"I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

But you didn't believe him. You knew that he meant every word he said.

"You're always apologizing," you said. "But you never change."

You stood up and walked away, not even looking back. You didn't know where you were going, but you knew that you couldn't stay here anymore.

You walked for hours, not knowing where you were going. You were lost and alone, and you didn't know what to do.

Finally, you came to a park. You sat down on a bench and stared out at the empty playground.

You thought about Dazai. You thought about all the good times you had shared, and all the bad times too.

You knew that you loved him, but you also knew that you couldn't be with him anymore. He was too dangerous.

You sighed and stood up. You knew that you had to go home.

You walked home slowly, taking your time. You didn't want to go back to your empty apartment, but you didn't know where else to go.

When you finally got home, you went straight to bed. You were exhausted, both physically and emotionally.

You closed your eyes and tried to sleep, but all you could think about was Dazai.

You knew that you would never forget him. He had been a part of your life for too long.

But you also knew that you had to move on. You couldn't let him control your life anymore.

You took a deep breath and closed your eyes. You willed yourself to sleep, and eventually, you drifted off.

The next morning, you woke up feeling refreshed. You got out of bed and went to the kitchen to make coffee.

As you were pouring water into the coffee maker, you thought about Dazai again. You wondered how he was doing.

You knew that you should feel guilty for leaving him, but you didn't. You knew that you had done the right thing.

You finished making your coffee and took a sip. You sighed in contentment. It was a beautiful day, and you were finally starting to feel like yourself again.

You knew that you had a lot of work to do, but you were ready for it. You were ready to start a new chapter in your life.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months since you left Dazai. You focused on rebuilding your life, finding solace in the support of friends and family. The wounds he had inflicted on both your body and soul slowly began to heal.

During this time, you threw yourself into your career, excelling in your work and earning recognition for your dedication and talent. Your newfound independence and strength allowed you to pursue your dreams with renewed vigor. You discovered a sense of empowerment that had been stifled in your previous relationship.

As you immersed yourself in personal growth, you also engaged in self-reflection. You questioned how you had allowed yourself to remain in a toxic relationship for so long, recognizing the patterns of control and manipulation that had entangled you with Dazai. You made a promise to yourself never to repeat those mistakes again.

One evening, as you walked home after a successful day at work, you noticed a poster for an upcoming art exhibition. It piqued your interest, reminding you of your long-standing passion for creativity and self-expression. Curiosity fueled your decision to attend the event.

Arriving at the gallery, you were immediately captivated by the vibrant colors and intricate brushstrokes of the artwork displayed. Each piece told a story, evoking emotions that resonated deep within your soul. As you explored the exhibition, a particular painting caught your eye—a mesmerizing blend of darkness and light, reflecting the complexities of human nature.

Lost in contemplation, you didn't notice the man standing beside you, equally captivated by the artwork. It was a familiar face—Dazai. His appearance shocked you, and for a moment, your heart skipped a beat. The wounds from the past throbbed momentarily, but you reminded yourself of the strength you had gained since leaving him.

Dazai, too, seemed taken aback. His eyes widened in surprise, and his lips formed a soft, apologetic smile. The once-cold gaze had transformed into one filled with regret and longing.

"I never thought I would see you again," he murmured, his voice laced with a mixture of sorrow and hope.

You observed him for a moment, searching his face for any signs of change. The familiarity tugged at your heart, but you reminded yourself of the pain you had endured.

"I've moved on, Dazai," you replied, your voice steady and resolute. "I can't go back to that life."

He nodded, his gaze shifting to the ground. "I understand. I don't deserve forgiveness, but I wanted you to know that I've changed. I've sought help and confronted my own demons. I'm not the same person who hurt you."

You studied him, contemplating his words. The scars on your heart reminded you of the pain he had caused, but you also recognized the capacity for growth and redemption in every individual.

"I'm glad to hear that," you said, your tone softer now. "But change takes time, and healing takes time too. I'm still on my journey, and I need to focus on myself."

Dazai's eyes met yours, filled with a mixture of regret and understanding. "I don't expect you to take me back, but I wanted you to know that I am genuinely sorry for what I did. I hope you find the happiness you deserve."

With those words, he turned and walked away, disappearing into the crowd. Your heart felt heavy yet lighter at the same time. Closure settled upon you, allowing you to truly embrace the newfound freedom and strength you had discovered.

Days turned into weeks again, and you continued to flourish. The memories of Dazai remained a part of your story, but they no longer defined you. You nurtured your passions, surrounded yourself with positive influences, and embraced the love and respect you deserved.

And as time went on, the pain of the past faded, replaced by a profound sense of self-love and resilience. You realized that leaving Dazai had been the turning point that set you on a path to personal transformation. It was the beginning of a new chapter—one filled with hope, growth, and a renewed appreciation for the beauty and possibilities life had to offer.
