She finds you hurting yourself

Arlecchino was worried, greatly so.

She knew that you were hiding something from her, with the way that you've been avoiding her, and she feels rather upset. She tried her best to get down to the truth of the matter, but no matter what she did, it felt like she couldn't exactly get through to you. She could talk and do all she wants, but if you were not going to relent and listen to her, then what use was all of her effort for? She had no answer to that.

She had no answer to any of the questions that plagued her mind either, and that annoyed her. And it worried her a lot. You've been rather nervous, and whenever she tried to talk to you, you seemed to avoid her.

And whenever she was concerned about your behavior, you would leave off her concerns, telling her that you're fine, that you'll be okay, that you just forgot to eat, that you just forgot to sleep, that you haven't been feeling so well, maybe you're sick, maybe you're tired, you will just rest and it will get better. But it doesn't. No.

Time passes, and it feels like you're getting worse. And Arlecchino's not one to put up with excuses, and people running away from the real issue. Especially not you, and not when the issue is about your health.

She knew she had to get to the bottom of this. No matter how tiring it may be, and no matter how much you may resist, and try to distract her from the truth. She loved you, and nothing you could do could convince her of your lies. She could tell perfectly when you were saying the truth, and perfectly as well when you were lying, when you were trying to distract her from something far too big to be distracted from.

And right now, she could tell that whatever it was you didn't want her to see, it had to be truly bad. For you to be doing all of that, for you to be avoiding her so much, and to be so afraid of her knowing even a single thing about it. She didn't know where all that fear came from.

She loves you dearly. She would do so many things for you. She only wants you to let her.

But that's fine. She's willing to wait, to be patient, and put in all the effort that she could, and that she had to. And only one day, when she walked into your room, did she happen to discover all of this.

Everything that you'd been hiding, everything you'd been afraid about her knowing, all of it. In just one day, she found it all. She found out what was truly going on.

As you were sitting on the ground, holding a tool to your hand, and intending to cause more pain and injury to yourself. This was what was truly happening, all this time. All that you'd been trying to hide.

And right now, she only happened to see it, because of mere chance and coincidence. "Y/N. Oh my goodness...!" she said, immediately getting to her side, grabbing your wrist rather harshly, and making sure to tighten her hand around it, getting it away from your other hand, and grabbing the tool, throwing it away.

Her eyes looked into yours, rather wide, as she was trying to comprehend what was happening before her. You couldn't be really doing that. That couldn't be happening.

But in truth, it was. "Y/N. I just want to ask, why? Why were you doing that? What gives you reason to do that?"

Nothing could ever bring our Arlecchino to tears.

But right now, it was pretty close. And she wondered if she could be truly crying, for the first time. But, she could not even focus on that.

She had you. And thankfully, you weren't harmed. But right now, she saw the scars that you were hiding underneath your sleeves.

She saw the pain and fear on your face, and the tool that you had used to harm yourself, probably more than once. And a part of her was livid, and a part of her was hurting. But most of all, she knew that both of those emotions, they could not be directed fully at you.

And right now, what she needed was not blame, or other things that would make you hurt more. "Y/N, I can't possibly understand what brought you to this stage. But, I am sorry." She said, and there was pain in her eyes, and within her voice as well.

She felt so sorry and so useless, for the first time since she could ever remember. Because despite all of her power, and all of her efforts, there were things that she was unable to prevent.

She wrapped her arms around you tightly, bringing you into her chest, holding you so close, and hoping to make you feel a little bit better. She was not going to blame you, or dress you down for what you had done. You've already been through enough, and right now all you needed was love and support.

And though she was going through a lot, it was nowhere near what you were going through for sure. So she held you tightly against her frame, whispering words of comfort into your ear.

"You're alright now. You'll be fine. I'm not mad. You've got nothing to be scared of. You'll be okay, my darling. I'll make sure of it." She said.

She was determined, and she was not going to let you go through so much pain alone again. Not if she had any say in that matter. Not if she was alive and well and breathing, and able to help you.

And as she cupped your face in her hands gently, she kissed your forehead, giving you a tired smile. "You'll be okay. We're in this together now, and I'm not going to leave you alone, no matter what else you may say. You're stuck with me now", she said, giving you a smile.

And as she picked you up in her arms, taking you onto the bed to rest, and cuddling close, she knew there would be a lot to work on. But right now, finding out the truth was a start.

It was a good start. And all the questions, and all the things she had to say, could come later, when you're ready for them. So long as you're safe and well.
